Business Development Manager – Middle East and Asia Pacific Department

Job description
Job Purpose:
As a Business Development Manager at IBF International Consulting, you will be a key contributor to our success in securing projects funded by distinguished international organizations in the Middle East, Asia, and Pacific regions. Your primary responsibility will be identifying new business opportunities, building networks in the regions, and leading the coordination of Expression of Interest submissions. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in our mission to drive positive change in the global development landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct research and detailed market analysis of donor-funded development opportunities.
– Establish a network of local partners in the Asia, Pacific, and Middle East regions.
– Develop and strengthen collaboration with international partners.
– Provide overall business development support to the Director of the Middle East, Asia, and Pacific Unit.
– Coordinate the preparation of Expressions of Interest submitted to international organizations (ADB, EU, GIZ, WB, and others), including the final eligible references and relevant supporting documents.
– Stay updated on donor trends and emerging topics relevant to international development projects.
Qualifications and Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g, Business Administration, Management, Marketing, International Development) or equivalent work experience.
– Minimum 3+ years of experience as Business Support, Business Development, Marketing or Partnerships experience in similar development sector industry.
– Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple deadlines, and prioritize tasks.
– Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and Microsoft Office Suite.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
– Fluency in written and spoken business English.
Location: Remote work.

Project Manager- Green Unit
IBF opens a vacancy for an experienced Project Manager within its Green team. We are looking for a passionate and smart candidate who likes to take initiative and feels comfortable in working in a small though fast growing and dynamic team. The post holder will be fully responsible for the project management activities of awarded tenders from A to Z. In close collaboration with other Green team members, the candidate will deal with processes, take the initiative of identifying and bridging knowledge gaps, with the aim of improving IBF technical offers quality level and projects deliverables.
The successful candidate has a proven track record in project management, experience in writing reports and analysis, editing text and analysing documents. The candidate should also have a good understanding of EU and international policy framework in the field of the environment and be able to demonstrate competencies in one or more of the following areas: climate change adaptation and mitigation, circular economy, energy efficiency and green growth.

Key Responsibilities:
– Ensure smooth implementation of a portfolio of projects in a variety of subjects within the Green Sectors to the highest satisfaction of beneficiaries and funding agencies, incl.
– Fulfilment of contractual obligations according to donor rules and procedures.
– Smooth implementation of project activities.
– Presentation of Project outputs to stakeholders.
– Timely mobilisation of relevant expertise.
– Effective and adequate resource allocation and management.
– Sound-financial management along with the project budget
– Coordinate with international teams, including local communities, government bodies, NGOs, and funding agencies
– Represent IBF towards the contracting Authority & Beneficiaries
– Regular assessments to monitor project progress and impact
Provide effective adequate backstopping on running projects, such as:
– Regularly liaise with project stakeholders (donors, beneficiaries, experts…).
– Coordinate experts inputs and project activities.
– Coordinate local project office and project support staff
– Organise quality check of deliverables
– Risk management, trouble-shooting, field missions.
– Ensure effective contract and financial management along the project implementation ensuring the strict respect and compliance to donor rules as well as IBF procedures
– Secure project stakeholders satisfaction: represent IBF towards the various project stakeholders, ensure good working relationship and smooth collaboration with donors, beneficiaries, experts and partners.
– Actively contribute to the Green Unit quantitative and qualitative objectives.
Languages
– Excellent command of English is mandatory.
– Good command of other languages is a strong asset (French, Spanish or German).
Technical skills
– Proven project management skills and experience. Knowledge of EC procedures and PRAG would be a strong asset.
– Proven budget management skills and experience in donor reporting.
– Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular).
– Experience in tracking project progress, measure impact, and ensure alignment with objectives and donor requirements.
– Solid grasp of climate change adaptation and mitigation, circular economy, energy efficiency and green growth topics.
– Ability to identify potential risks associated with environmental projects and develop strategies to mitigate them.
