TAIEX vacancies

IBF International Consulting is a European development consultancy founded in Brussels in 1977 that is working on co-operation projects financed by international institutions like the European Commission and the World Bank.

Our main fields of expertise are economic development, institutional support, education and social development. IBF has managed projects in more than 150 countries worldwide. IBF employs 40 permanent staff in Brussels and has about 250 experts in the field.

Our Technical Cooperation Unit tenders and implements internationally funded development projects and has been recently awarded the TAIEX project.

Short Description of the TAIEX project:

TAIEX stands for Technical Assistance and Information Exchange and is centrally managed under the responsibility of the Commission's Directorate-General for Enlargement. TAIEX was launched in 1996 and from 2006 TAIEX has also extended its activities to the countries covered by the European Neighbourhood Policy and the Russian Federation.

TAIEX provides short term technical assistance to the pre-accession process, in particular in the field of approximation, application and enforcement of the EU acquis and related issues as relevant in support of the implementation of the European Neighbourhood Policy and the EU's cooperation with the Russian Federation.

The work to be performed under this contract relates to the "logistical" services and financial management of TAIEX activities. The TAIEX events consist essentially of Workshops, Study Visits, Expert missions and Work from home.

In the frame of this TAIEX Project IBF is looking for Financial and Events and Logistics Officers' profiles.

Positions to be fulfilled:
1) Travel and Event Logistic Team:

  • Event and Logistical Managers
  • Travel and Hotel Managers
  • Payment officers

2) Financial Management Team::

  • Accountants Officer
  • Payment officers
  • Bookkeepers

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with people of different nationalities

  • Fluency in English and French (written and spoken)

Duration: The initial duration of the project is 2 years, to start around July 2012.
